Prop 19: Up In Smoke

For those of you not in the know, Prop 19 was a proposition on the California ballet to legalize recreational marijuana use, allowing the government to tax it. As election day winds down and the polls close, prop 19 has fizzled. I guess medical marijuana is going to have to be good enough for everyone. The only reason I think pot should ever be legalized is for the benefits it would provide via taxation. It's not hard to get a medical marijuana card so if anyone wants to legally smoke it that badly, go get one. Bummer we are missing out on the tax money, though; that's about as much as I care.
